We are super excited to announce that an ex-Café Di Stasio and Grossi Florentino Chef will be presenting classic Italian meals in our Wine Bar every Thursday night from 5 October!
Quintessentially simple and delicious Italian food prepared in our kitchen by Con, a chef trained by Ronnie Di Stasio and Guy Grossi! We are calling it “Con’s Classics”! I have tasted Con’s food and it is outstanding.
Con’s Classics will run like an Italian Osteria which, in Italy, is a wine bar which has evolved to serve simple meals. Traditionally, Osterias are simpler than Trattorias and usually have no menu. Just what Nonna has cooked that day!
So there will be just one amazing course each week with a glass of matched wine and an optional dessert. The course offered will change each Thursday
5 Oct – Tagliatelle Beef Ragu alla Bolognese
12 Oct – Venetian style Red Wine, Porcini & Parmesan Risotto
For each weeks course i will hand pick a premium Italian wine to pair with the dish
Main course and matched glass of wine - $35
Don’t worry, our popular menu of large plates will also be available if Con’s course doesn’t suit someone in your group. As most of you know, this includes:
Incredible Flatbreads (mini-pizzas), Antipasto Boards, our signature Prosciutto & Mozzarella Platter, Prawn Saganaki, Asian Chicken Meatballs with Wild Rice
Con is also a celebrated pastry Chef and his desserts are incredible! Each week an amazing dessert will be offered for an extra $15:
First week – Tiramisu with Strega…of course!
