From the hugely underrated Great Southern district of WA, 300k’s south of Margaret River, right on the Southern coast of Australia. Hammered by winds off the Indian Ocean, this very cool climate region makes peppery, spicy Shiraz. The Poacher’s Shiraz is the best example from the region we have found, with power and elegance combined with signature spice.
Made by Rob Diletti (Halliday winemaker of the year 2015) who makes sensational wine for a number of wineries in the Great Southern region. Our favourite Shiraz in the store.
